I made a new video for the rya loop knot. If you’ve been on this blog for a while, you’ll remember I made a stop-motion video of how to do the rya loop knots, but a lot of you have requested a “real” time video so that you could see all the action. The rya loops are tricky at first, but really simple when you get the hang of it. You make them with one long continuous thread, which is really awesome, because as you gain confidence in the motions you can make these really quickly! Also I think they look so beautiful and add a really great texture.

I really hope this video clears up any questions on the rya loop knot. Have you tried making these in your weaves yet? Do you have a preference between the rya loop knots and the pile weave loops? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
