My first instinct is to call this party yarn, because it’s so fun! Yep, today I’m sharing another hand-spun yarn that I L-O-V-E. This beautiful yarn is from Alex Made. I’ve probably said this a thousand times, but I love buying hand-spun and hand-dyed yarns because the yarn is as unique as the person who made it and really adds a new level to my weaves.
The first thing that caught my eye were the two colorful hanks of yarn (of course). I love the mix of multiple colors that at first you wouldn’t think would work together, but they really compliment each other. There’s the peachy/pink hank with endless pops of other colors in it and then there’s the white/lavender hank with purples and the surprise neon yellow (my favorite part). I also had to get the white hank twisted with black and gold, because it was just so simple yet bold.
I’m excited to brain-storm how to use these yarns in a way that will compliment the beauty that is already in the yarn. Because I could honestly just enjoy these as is.
You can find the Alex Made shop here (she also weaves!) and more of my Weaving Wishlist here.
Thank you to everyone who gave me feedback last week! It looks like a lot of you said you benefit from process videos and would like more. As always, feel free to reach out if you have a weaving issue and I’ll help if I can.
Happy Weaving!
Kate
